We are striving to run a sustainable farm. Our goal is to produce a natural product and protect the environment. Our farm does not use any chemicals, hormones or antibiotics. We believe in making our animals happy, giving them the best living standards and freedom to live as naturally as possible.
Our poultry has access to pasture. This allows the birds to receive a significant amount of pasture forage as feed. This also allows the birds to be raised in a cleaner, healthier environment. Pastured poultry is raised the old fashioned way, on fresh green pasture and wholesome grain. Choosing to raise in this way, compared to factory farms, produces a high quality, farm fresh, all-natural product.
We own and protect our very own watershed as well, and the animals drink fresh spring water. We are very concerned about water quality for us, our animals and the environment.
Our family also runs a sustainable forest. We selectively remove trees for firewood, preserving native herbs and plants, that we carefully harvest and offer for sale. We believe in biodiversity; you will find different species of trees at different stages of growth, from seedlings to old growth. This creates a thriving setting for wildlife, plants, water quality and allows us to be truly sustainable.
